The Shocker Air Equalizer Weight Distribution Towing Kit adds air ride cushioning to a weight distribution setup, combining road shock absorption with load levelling in a single system. Rated at 12,000 lb GTW / 1,200 lb TW and designed for 6,000 to 11,500 lb GTW camper trailers, it bolts directly to the included round bar weight distribution hitch head. The built-in air spring and four bump cushions direct road shock through the air ride system — absorbing the chucking, tugs, and jerks common when towing a camper with a WD hitch — while still allowing the weight distribution bars to function as intended. Adjust air pressure up or down to suit different tow weights.
The air equalizer uses a rocker arm pivot design that produces a front-and-back motion, eliminating the need for parallel linkages, torsion arms, or shocks. The round bar WD hitch includes sway bar tabs for compatibility with friction sway arms (sold separately). The kit offers 7″ or 9″ of height adjustment — 5″ rise to 2″ drop or 5″ rise to 4″ drop depending on the option selected. Both the air equalizer and XR base frame carry a textured black powder-coat finish.

This product worked flawlessly for my application on a 2023 F150 Raptor. We towed about 6200lbs 2200 miles from Colorado to California and back. This truck was not built for towing with the softer suspension but when setup properly with the shocker weight distribution hitch and airlift air bags the ride is super smooth towing a trailer. I wish I would have bought this hitch a long time ago. I appreciate a well made product. These days that is hard to come by.
