The Shocker HD Air Ride Drop Hitch Sway Control Kit is built for taller and lifted pickup trucks that need both significant drop and trailer sway management in one system. Rated at 20,000 lb GTW / 2,000 lb TW, it pairs the Shocker HD airbag hitch with a drop ball mount offering 4½″ to 8½″ of drop and welded sway control tabs — giving you up to 8½″ of drop with friction sway control built in. The base frame carries a premium safety red powder-coat finish.
The HD airbag sits under the receiver tube and absorbs the bumps, jerks, bangs, and tugs that a hard connection transfers directly to your truck and trailer. Dual rubber bump cushions add further dampening. Adjust the air pressure to suit your load. The friction sway arms connect from the sway tabs on the drop ball mount to the front of the trailer, stiffening the connection and keeping everything tracking straight. Use one arm for trailers up to 10,000 lb or 24′; use two for trailers over 10,000 lb or longer than 24′.
The drop ball mount features 8 adjustment holes for 4½″ to 8½″ of drop and is available with either a 2″ (10,000 lb GTW / 1,000 lb TW) or 2-5/16″ (20,000 lb GTW / 2,000 lb TW) hitch ball. Each friction sway arm kit includes the sway arm assembly, one 1¼″ trailer-mounted mini ball, one 1¼″ hitch-mounted ball with lock washer and nut, four metal lag screws, and two retaining clips. Receiver shank available in 2″, 2½″, and 3″ sizes.
Compatible with full-size and midsize pickup trucks, vans, and select SUVs with a receiver hitch mounted under the bumper. Not compatible with weight-distribution hitch systems.
