- Vertical Channel Has 6 Adjustment Holes that are 5/8″ in Diameter: Actual vertical channel is 3.7″ OD / 2.9″ ID x 12″ Tall w/ 2″ on center bolt pattern. Channel is HD 3/8″ thick steel.
- Converts a Typical 50-degree Trailer Tongue Into a Vertical Channel: The six bolt hole pattern works great with typical vertical channel bolt on trailer couplers or pintle rings. The outer front is 4″ wide, the outer rear is 11″ wide. From front to back it measures 7-1/2″.
- High Strength ASTM A572 Grade 50 Steel: Made in the USA with Premium ASTM A572 Grade 50 Steel.
- Weight Rating Guide: If you are using 2 bolts to attach coupler then its 14,000 lbs GTW if using 4 bolts then 20,000 lbs GTW that also assumes this kit is properly professionally welded onto the front of a trailer and the coupler or pintle ring you are using can handle those respective capacities.

The tongue was a perfect upgrade to my car trailer that had a bent coupler. My welder/fab guy said that it was great quality steel that was good to work with. Shocker hitch was great to work with very well priced and got my parts quick

Absolutely the way to go if you intend to enjoy the luxury of installing and towing with the Shocker Air Trailer Tongue Coupler. I’m glad the team at Shocker recommended this component that they have perfected. I installed the unit myself, and while I’m a pretty good welder this made the job picture perfect!

Came as described, was easy to assemble and weld on. Only thing I will reccomend is if your not a confident welder pay one to do it or have them pre weld it. I’ve seen some pretty sketchy things in my line of work in 34 years and other people’s lives could be at risk including yourself. All in all a super quick install with accurate and clean cut pieces ready to assemble.
Perfect, cut the old ball hitch off, weld the new one on.
